ST MARGARET’S CHURCH, BAGENDON, NEEDS YOUR HELP
Following a quinquennial inspection in 2011, work to repair damaged ridge tiles was carried out earlier this year. During that process it was found that the recent very severe Winters had left areas of the North Aisle and Chancel roofs severely damaged and in a fragile state. Specifications for the repairs were drawn up by St Anne’s Gate Architects and John Ward & Co will undertake this urgent work but only when the required £52,786 has been raised. This is a daunting sum for such a small community. Therefore it is essential that we seek the support of a wider audience to ensure that this
Grade 1 historic building, for so many centuries the focal point of Bagendon valley, is preserved for future generations.
So HOW CAN YOU HELP to achieve this goal? Perhaps in one of the following ways:
SPONSOR ONE or more ROOF TILES at £20 each.
SPONSOR RIDGE TILES at £75 each.
OR perhaps organise a fund raising event in aid of the church.
